The CMHP has developed an assessment measure to explore five dimensions of church mental health care. This tool can be completed by a group of staff and lay leaders to generate a comprehensive report of strengths and growth areas, along with a detailed list of recommendations and potential next steps.
The CMHP is serving an expanding number of churches and church leaders with tailored teaching resources. This includes guest preaching on topics related to mental health suffering, leadership training workshops, seminars on diverse mental health topics, church retreats, and the creation of referral/resource lists.
The CMHP provides consultation and guidance for a variety of complex care needs in the church. This includes helping to develop systems of care and crisis readiness. Services range from short term advice to longer term development, education, and support of care teams.
Church leaders are on the front lines of diverse care needs and can often feel guarded in sharing their own struggles. Many are talking about the compounding stresses on church leaders and related concerns with isolation and burnout. As a fellow pastor, Rev. Dr. Loney strives to provide high quality counseling care for church leaders.
The CMHP works closely with Harbor Christian Counseling, and they provide a wide variety of counseling services to youth, adults, and couples. All care is Biblically informed, gospel driven, and clinically skilled. The CMHP can help connect your church members to Harbor in whatever struggles they might be facing.
"Our church has been so thankful for the ministry of Bryan Loney of the Church Mental Health Partnership. Through a seminar Bryan led and through his preaching, people have felt more free to share about their own mental health challenges and find the necessary help. Through the seminar and through the mental health needs assessment, our leaders have become better prepared and equipped to listen and respond wisely as we walk together through various trials. We feel strongly that this ministry will be a blessing to many church communities."
